The Nats !

What’s better than taking the 2015 Buick Regal GS to Nationals Park?
Taking the Buick Regal to Nationals Park… and THE NATS Winning 9- 5 against the Brewers !!!

Out losing streak is OVER !!!!

And it’s all thanks to GM, and the GM East Team!

Well, not really, but it’s fun to think that the Buick Regal gave off some good luck for the Nats !!

The drive on this car is Phenomenal !!

Our family has taken this car everywhere this week- shopping, to Adventure Park, to the Montgomery County Fair, out to lunch and out to dinner,

and to top off the week- we took it down to watch the Nationals play- AND THEY WON !!!

No better way to end our week with this wonderful car and this Great American Car Company !!

Thanks GM !!

And what better way to go to ‘the country’, than driving the
GMC Yukon Denali XL !
I was a little hesitant because I am a rather petite person,
but this HUGE SUV, that comfortably seats 8,
handles like a dream.
And with it’s back up camera,
and lane assist,
it makes driving,
even around DC,
and all the way out to my parents,
cool,
fun even!!

Our family got to see ALL
GM MAKES
up close and personal
at the Washington Auto Show too!
It’s a must-see destination for us every year!

Georgetown Waterfront

Georgetown Waterfront

What could be better on a gorgeous Fall day than having brunch on the Georgetown Waterfront ??!!
Nothing.
Sequoia, at the bottom of Georgetown and
atop of Washington Harbor,
is THE place to enjoy the water in Washington.
And their brunch is something special.
We had a perfect day,
and the PERFECT SUV to get us around Washington, DC.
The Chevy Tahoe was fantastic at maneuvering around Washington,
even little streets in Georgetown,
despite it size.
The Tahoe took us all around DC and gave us a wonderful family trip!

The Red Bull Global RallyCross in DC !

Red Bull Global Rallycross DC

We arrived in STYLE
to the Red Bull Global Rallycross DC event
in our 2015 Cadillac Escalade…
it was perfect with its Navigation, and EASY handling despite its size.

The race did not disappoint either !!!

I had never been to a Rally Car Race before, but my ‘car guys’
insisted!
It was great,
even for Moms.
It was Fast and Exciting!

Everything was great,
well planned,
and lots of accessibility!

we got to see a bunch of the drivers !!!

Everyone was so nice!

It was a great, great day!

It was at RFK Stadium,

plenty of parking,

and accessible by metro too!

And because it’s Rally Car,
and not Indy Car, or Nascar,
we could get up really close,
and had GREAT views of the
cars
and Race !

A Great Day at the Track !!

The GMC Terrain Denali

As a member of the 2012 Inaugural DC Cast of

The National Show~

Listen To Your Mother,

I was excited to meet this year’s Cast at a Super Duper Party for all

the cast members from 2012, 2013, and this year, 2014 !!!

The Party was in a part of Virginia that I never go to,

so this Maryland girl was glad I was driving a brand new

GMC Terrain Denali,

with honestly, the best Navigation system, I’ve ever used.

I had a clear view from the driver’s seat, and I didn’t

look at my directions,

once.

I kid you not.

It was perfect…

In fact, the only thing that was more perfect

than the Navigation and handling

of this GMC Terrain,

which made me feel totally safe,

was the great company of women,

and desserts :)

Here’s to another Great DC Show of

Listen To Your Mother!

It’s May 4th at The Synetic Theater !!

And Here’s raising a glass to all the other shows around the country this time of year!!

Boys and Cars and Birthday Parties !

Courtesy of The Trenches

It’s that time of year again!

While most people are planning holiday festivities,
our family is planning a birthday party.

Holiday babies present a special problem.
From the moment my son was born, a week before Christmas,
everyone instilled in me how important it was to
‘Make His Birthday Special!!’

So every year the question comes up-
What do we do for a birthday party?
And every year it gets harder, because they are getting bigger,
and even a teensy bit cynical sometimes.

This year proved to be the toughest yet, my son’s 10th birthday party….

How to entertain 15 10-year-old boys for 2 hours?

And the answer came out of the mouths of babes….

My son heard about a new place that opened up for parties,
a simple little warehouse….

So how could a little warehouse, with no decorations,
appeal to a bunch of little boys that are starting to get big?

It couldn’t. Unless this little warehouse was filled with…

VIDEO GAMES!

Yes, you heard me right. A video game party.
The little warehouse we went to is called The Trenches.
And for a reasonable fee, you rent the whole place for 2 hours.
You get the whole place to yourself,
and there are tons of video games and they are all free-
no tokens, no tickets,
JUST PRESS START.

The place had old-time arcade games, new ones, Xboxes, and much, much more.
So the boys get to run around and play games,
have the whole place to themselves,
and just take breaks for pizza and birthday cake.

You’re done. The boys LOVED this. This was the easiest birthday party ever!

I believe that this is the next up-and-coming trend in birthday parties.
I have heard that these are popping up around the country,
along with video game buses, so the birthday party can come to you!

How good of an idea is this? I cannot stress how much all the boys LOVED this party!

And to top it all off, I drove my son and a couple of friends to the party in the Cadillac CTS, the 2014 MotorTrend Car of the Year.
And the boys thought it was so cool!

In other words, Mom saves the day, and makes the birthday special, for another year….

Yey Mom!

Happy Birthday to all the Holiday Babies out there!!!!

The boys loved the Cadillac CTS Dashboard
