Over the River and Through the Woods, To Grandmother’s House we go!
And what better way to go to ‘the country’, than driving the
GMC Yukon Denali XL !
I was a little hesitant because I am a rather petite person,
but this HUGE SUV, that comfortably seats 8,
handles like a dream.
And with it’s back up camera,
and lane assist,
it makes driving,
even around DC,
and all the way out to my parents,
Our family got to see ALL
up close and personal
at the Washington Auto Show too!
It’s a must-see destination for us every year!
What could be better on a gorgeous Fall day than having brunch on the Georgetown Waterfront ??!!
Sequoia, at the bottom of Georgetown and
atop of Washington Harbor,
is THE place to enjoy the water in Washington.
And their brunch is something special.
We had a perfect day,
and the PERFECT SUV to get us around Washington, DC.
The Chevy Tahoe was fantastic at maneuvering around Washington,
even little streets in Georgetown,
despite it size.
The Tahoe took us all around DC and gave us a wonderful family trip!
When I got behind the wheel of this 426 horsepower V8 powered MACHINE, i forgot about my Mercedes, I forgot about my husband’s BMW… this car is about power and acceleration and I freely admit: I HAD A BALL DRIVING THIS CAR AROUND TOWN FOR A WEEK!!
I’d recommend this car to ANYONE; this is not your mom’s Camaro (if in fact, your mother happen to have a Camaro)- it’s fast and handles well and turns on a dime… and most importantly for us moms… IT IS BEAUTIFUL, just BEAUTIFUL. We got the chance thanks to the great people at GM (who appreciate Moms and want to know what we are thinking and paying attention to) to drive this for a week and… we already miss it.
Thank you General Motors for making one little guy’s week… he and his friend who I picked up from a birthday party decided on the ride home that their first cars… would be Camaros.
Not too shabby on the building of Brand Loyalty, Chevy….
I have to say we have never gone in better style- we went in an ‘Inferno Orange’ Camaro Convertible and it was incredible.
Thanks so much to General Motors for being so in touch with moms and giving up the chance to drive this beautiful car !
We continued our Green Weekend with the Cadillac XTS by going to the Pike Central Farm Market!
We were greeted right away by one of the Founders, Mitch Berliner,
then continued to all the fantastic booths!
We found salami,
to take home!
The Cadillac was wonderful, it was so easy to use, even my son could load our bag into the trunk by himself!
We had a wonderful day and ended it by having dinner at one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants- Cafe Deluxe in downtown Bethesda. This family dinner place gets its poultry and dairy from nearby farmers!
