‘The Twilight Saga:Eclipse’ Book Review
Yes, I finally got around to reading Eclipse. I saw Twilight last year, then HAD to read the book. Then I HAD to read New Moon. Then I saw New Moon when it came out.
Now, I’ve finished Eclipse, the third book in the ‘Twilight Saga’ (as it is now called).
Do not, repeat, do not read this book if you haven’t read the 2 books before it, that would be a waste.
With that said, if you’re reading this, you are familiar with these books and maybe you’re like me and want to read Eclipse before it comes out in movie form in June of this year.
In a word, its… good!
Stephenie Meyer deserves a lot of credit as a writer not because she can construct a sentence so perfectly, but because she is a fantastic story-teller.
She sucks you (no pun intended) into this world of vampires and werewolves and… you’re there.
You suspend your disbelief – and completely enjoy this book.
It’s crazy! Case in point: I took a break from reading and told my husband, “Well, Bella (mortal) and Edward (vampire) are going to get married.”
My Husband with a grin on his face: “Is a priest going to marry them?”
Me: “Yeah, it sounds pretty crazy when I say it out loud.”
But that’s the book, that’s all of the books; they are complete fantasy- vampires, werewolves and… true love.
What’s not to like?
It’s worth the read.
By the way, I’m reading the last book- Breaking Dawn, right now.
Pick up a book today, any book, and start reading!

My Son is Dressing Himself Now… ugh
Independence is a great thing. Growing up and ‘being a big boy’ is a great thing.
There is a down-side to this however: little ‘big boys’ don’t know fashion, let alone what matches… and more importantly- Completely Don’t Care.
This is why you should never wrinkle your brow or frown when you see a little guy in what looks like ‘thrown together’ outfits… it’s not that their mother didn’t look to see what they put on,
It’s that she secretly cringed at the outfit, but hid her initial response because her son was so proud of himself for actually getting clothes out of his closet and drawers by himself, therefor, ‘picking’ an outfit, and fastened buttons and zipped zippers and got dressed- socks and all.
Case In Point:
Saturday Night Dinner Out-
My son wore:
Blue sweatpants, his Phineas and Ferb t-shirt, and a Blue Blazer.
Yep, sweatpants and a blazer…
But that’s what he picked out, put on, and wanted to wear,
And he’s a big boy now,
So that’s what we went with.

”Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
-Calvin Coolidge

It’s that time of year. Relax. It’s all over, the hustle and bustle, the cheers and jeers, the excitement, and the stress…
And a New Year has begun!
You can start putting away decorations, or if you’re like me, you already have.
Or just keep them up and have things strewn everywhere, it’s okay…
You have an excuse- it’s that time of year!
In honor of nothin’ going on right now-
I give thanks!
Thanks for-
