I FINALLY Saw ‘Twilight’…
I’m no longer a ‘Twilight’ virgin. On Friday night, my husband and I watched Twilight. I haven’t read the book.
My take on this phenomenon? It was good. I have to admit, it’s a perfect movie to get sucked into (no pun intended)…
Stephanie Meyer is a genius in terms of a commercial plot (and I don’t mean that negatively)…
Teen angst, first love, plus vampires thrown in… and they are good vampires- are you kidding me?
This movie is 16 CANDLES and Jake Ryan is a cool vampire.
The whole movie is done well. Even my husband said,
“That could have been cheese-tastic, and it wasn’t.” Trust me, this is a ringing endorsement.
The only thing that caused me to wince was Bella’s quick turn from being a normal teenage girl to wanting to give up her very life- to become a vampire… for Edward. I know, I haven’t read the book; I did read online that in the book their relationship takes months to develop…
And the only other thing is- I kept thinking in the back of my mind,
‘How can this end well?’ BUT, 15-year-old girls don’t think about that, so the franchise is safe 
I think I have to get the book now.
This movie was definitely worth watching!
