CELEBRITY BABY BOYS… and the X factor

I just read on AOL that Ashlee Simpson And Pete Wentz had a little boy.

Congratulations! I’m always happy to hear about people having healthy babies and doing well!

Now, the name: They named their son… Bronx; as in ‘The Bronx is the northernmost of New York City’s five boroughs and the newest of New York State’s 62 counties.’

Bronx? I don’t normally blog about celebrities, but Bronx?

Hey, do you think they knowing or unknowing are following the trend that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt started by naming ALL their sons with names ending in x? The Jolie-Pitt boys are: Maddox, Pax and Knox.

I’m a little embarrassed right now because I did not read an article that pointed this fact out to me… I just noticed it. I’m embarrassed because I pride myself on the fact that I don’t keep up with celebrity news… that much and yet, I’ve spent moments of my life contemplating the coincidence, or plan, of Angelina and Brad to name all their sons with names ending in x. And now I’m blogging about Ashlee Simpson naming her son ‘Bronx’.

And now for the real embarrassment: I KINDA LIKE THE NAME, ‘BRONX’.

And their son’s middle name is: Mowgli. Yes, that Mowgli, Rudyard Kipling’s ‘The Jungle Book’ Mowgli.

And I kinda like the fact that they gave their son the middle name of a beloved character from children’s literature… Who didn’t love The Jungle Book?

Bronx Mowgli Wentz… How many people have a W,X and Z in their name?

Maddox, Pax, Knox and Bronx… Maddox, Pax, Knox and Bronx… is this a trend?

Xs are pretty cool. They stand for kisses after all.

XO,

  4. I try really hard not to keep up on celebrity news (I need those precious few brain cells for other facts, thanks!), but I seem to recall that they were supposed to be having twins? Maybe that was just some tabloid rumor that was floating around that was never corroborated. Either way, I’m with you… I’m actually kind of digging the name Bronx. More so than Moses at least!
